Okay, every year also got this thread, this year I start. Think I should apply?

I am studying Diploma in IT and I have, 1 DIST, 9 As, 8 B+s, 8 Bs, 3 C+s and 3 Cs and holding an IBM RAD v6.0 certification. Hoping to go for Computing Science in NUS/NTU.

Should I go for it? 1 more minute till admission starts. Rolling Eyes

Actually me too... but unlike him... I don't have a GPA of 3.9 ++ I only have 3.305, but confident after last semester will push up to 3.4.

Wah, 3.9++, he don't even have to blink an eyelid also comfirm get into uni one. Laughing Think he want to study medicine also no problem.

not sure about NUS computing course.. but NTU is not easy to study.. unlike poly.. very tedious.. lot of labs to do.. i heard the java lab1 is like FYP in poly..

Its okay, I like programming! Laughing Ya, I mean it, I always 1 man show finish entire project on my own ask my group member go sleep de and get A. Cool

is good that u like it! but is every week, u will hv to do a program.. for just one module.. u will have to cope another 3 to 5 modules, some with lab too.. all the lab in SCE, canot finish in 2 hr, unlike poly.

but it seem like u cant go for anything else except computing course in ntu/nus.. unless u are optin for unrelated courses.

not sure abt GPA system now.. but i m from earlier batch.. i have 7 Dist, 11A, some Bs, and 1/2 C... i m only the top 10%... sort of stuggling to get in.. i tink is easier to get in now.. due to competition between NUS & NTU.. cos last time when i was applying, is they did a joint application.. but now is diff.. independent..

hmm... not sure abt GPA.. but personally feel getting a A is not that hard in poly.. all of us are struggling to get ADs.. a lot of FT in my course.. so.. having a careless mistake.. n there the AD goes... All the Bs and Cs are basically those communication skills sort of modules...

Nus computing course is almost like little india and the competition is bery tough.. Is ur math good??? Cos u need to be pretty good in math esp in logics and linear algebra to do well in nus. Nus is really stressful but rewarding if u strive hard. Go ahead and take up the challenge(i.e get into uni). I am sure u can do it....be it ntu or nus
