You want the feeling of zest comes when you're awakened to the
possibilities in your life -- a feeling of being truly ALIVE.
According to Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs,
that kind of satisfaction comes when you are achieving
self-actualization -- you are becoming who you
want to be.
So the first hurdle is knowing who you want to
be.
Most people don't have a clue. They're so caught up
with chasing the 5Cs, they don't stop to consider what is their
purpose and mission in life.
So if you're not clear on where you want to go, or who you want to
be, then there is nothing to self-actualize towards; there is
nothing to Be.
Thus you first need to create a clear image in your mind of
all the things you want to Be, Do, and Have in this
lifetime.
Lancism's Drive Creation
Method
1. Sit or lie down in a quiet place. Put on your favourite music if
you want.
2. Practice creating pictures in your mind of the lifestyle you'd
want to lead; the person you want to be, the work you want to do,
the people you want to be with. Experience it fully with your five
senses (see, hear, feel, taste, smell).
3. When you have an image that really gives you a sense of, "Wow,
I'd really like to have this!" Then float out of your body and look
at yourself in that experience from a second-person
perspective. It's like looking at a photograph of yourself
having a good time.
Do you understand what I mean? I mean you must see yourself; an
image of yourself performing the activity you desire in those
pictures.
This creates an image for the unconscious mind to aspire to BE and
Experience. And this is the kind of dreaming that produces
drive.
