I think all of us are secretly waiting for the threadstarter,
aka AhBoy7, to reply. See how this "saga" turns out.
If he was bluffing, then he is a really sad person. Nothing better
to do than tell lame story and get us all concerned for
nothing.
If he really did what he said, then sad to say, i think he will
really get it from the SAF. AWOL for so many days, not to mention
throw away his kit, even if he explain and explain, i doubt SAF
will go easy on him. Throw away his field pack, that's it already
man...
Who knows, maybe they might classify him as mentally unstable and
send him to a mental institution.
