Just took TIB828L earlier
at about 8.25p.m. from Harbourfront Int. I found out that it was
refurbished by Liannex, the company refurbishing
the O405Gs (except the Volgren bendies). Here are the clues:
1. The air-con vents (including those for the
driver) were changed to those eyeball vents found
on TIB827P and TIB831B. The aircon vents on the side of
the air-con ducts were found with new screws, as well as some of
the vents changed to vents with 4 outlets, instead of the usual
3.
2. The bells (buttons) used to activate the
'BUS STOPPING' bell have
all been swapped for new ones, including those on
the poles and window 'dividers' (though the yellow bell has been retained)
3. The bottom curve of the seat (below the seat
covers) have been painted to a very bright (colgate)
white, the same as those on the bendies (which have the
whole plastic shape of the seat repainted)
4. The roof of the interior (where the lights
are located) seems to be gray,
not the usual white.
5. The poles that support the doors (and make
the doors open and close) are repainted the same
grey used on the poles
found on the bendies. The doors (on the inside)
seem to be repainted (or restickered) a matt
black.
Please tell me if the other 1997 O405s are refurbished by
Liannex!
