Need help for JC Subj Conbination!

Hi guys! Had recently joined this forum...

I'm abit confused as to which Subjects i should choose.

I'm in the science/maths stream btw.

So I have to choose 3 H2 1 H1 subj.. H2 Chem & H2 Maths are fine with me...

Does anyone take Physics H2? Is it difficult?
How about H1/2 Literature?
And how is Economics like?

I don't take Bio in secondary days... so I guess it's absurd to choose that. And Physics is a killer for secondary! I'm realli realli confused ~_~

Btw, can someone enlighten me as to what are the different level of maths in JC??

maths all very easy one just take all you can Mr. Green .

anyway try to think of what you want to do.

i assume you go jc then wanna go uni. so think of what uni course you want to be in and take subjects according to that.

if you want engin then you go and take physics and maths.

if you want life sciences then chem, bio.....

Previously it should be someting like AO, A, and S.

I'm planning to go to the business route...
But all JC's (except MI) don't offer Principles of Accounting or Management of Business...

Physics is not thata difficult actually. Well since you said you taking business in the future, I think you should take H2 Maths Chem Econs H1 Phy or any other art subjects. For me mine Is Maths chem phy. If you can handle econs u can try H2 econs which I think i will die. Twisted Evil

For economics, better for u to take H2 … cos i heard while they dropped some topics in H1, H1 econs students are taught everything, cos knowlegde is needed in later topics …

hehx..why not 4 H2 subjects? =P PCME. phys chem maths and econs. i took this subj combi, but is H1 phy. phy is actually very simple, jus as long as u noe the concepts. econs quite diff, cos its a new subj, u'd need to grasp the concepts well, else essay quite hard to score le..unless u tyco anyhow write oso correct.
aniwae, the thing is, mus get tuition in JC... or at least find teacher for consultation. and MUST do tutorials...-nods-find a studying partner in JC.. else u'd get distracted easily de..

I would recommend that you take Math, Econs, Physicc and Chemistry -- all of them at H2 level.

Economics is one of the more manageable contrasting subjects you can take, don't try to "stretch" yourself by taking History or Literature even if you think you will cope fine; you will suffer. I take H2 History and am grappling with the subject. Physics would be good, as is Biology (depending on your level of interest in the respective subjects). You can actually try taking H2 Biology since it's very similar to Chemistry (our syllabus is focused on molecular biology) and in many ways different from O Level Biology; I wouldn't discard that option actually.

Try not to take anything at H1 level as it wouldn't constitute a "real" subject.

Yea i shld drop the idea of taking Literature, because my command of English isn't exactly good.

Anyway, how long does it usually take after recieving A lvl results till you enter a University? (For females, that is. Very Happy )

i would support econs as a contrasting subject too. as for whether to choose H1 or 2 im not sure as im not very familiar with this new system.

try to take H2 subjects as far as possible to enrich your study Smile

i give u an idea, ask the JC2... they will have better understanding of the subjects. I would totally advice u not to taking history as ur H1, its a killer ><

best is if u can take H2 for all subs

but if u can only 3H2 1H1, take econs as H1. At least u can still go business with H1 econs. You need H2 for sciences because H1 phy or chem is useless for entry into uni.

if you have a good memory or like memorising facts rather than trying to understand and practice complicated concepts, H2 bio is more or less a disgustingly easy A or B.

maybe the bio papers in my school are easy but most all my friends who take H2 bio got above C for their promos without a sweat.... even the lazy ones.
