mid twenties- losing friends stage?

Are sgf organsing any outing soon? These few weekends are so boring...

All my friends are so busy with their partners, work, or gaming. I know I must make new friends but seems like most of the people around my age (24) are so crazy about getting that degree, climbing that ladder, winning the girl's heart, or keeping the girls happy.

Anyone having the same problems? I miss my old sec sch friends. Always see them online but so busy. Assignments, work, gf. Is life that shallow? Or am I mixing with the wrong crowd? I work but I'm not crazy over a promotion. Rolling Eyes

Recently breakup makes things worse- all promises but all aeroplanes by "closest friends".

Is this the norm?

Its not really sad, but just fustrating. I can make new friends, but most of them are like so busy. I have alot of frends online on msn but most are busy, cant talk for long.

try joining some courses from CC or RC or something...

like take up yoga, or learn badminton or take up computer course etc...from there can widen your circles of friends.... Very Happy

Or alternatively, join your friends in the company after work, like pub, or sports or hobbies or like walkathon or something.

This is part of life. But you can make life as fun as it was in the past, only if you willing to get some people to chat, go out, slack, etc, etc. Even if most dun wanna do it, at least 1 will consider and you can start with that 1 friend. Slowly you can build up and then start to go out or have fun or anything more loh.

Ya... mostly I can get one or two to go... but seeing there are so few people... they cancel the kopi session altogether.. "due to lack of people", happens all the time for yearly sec sch gathering, each yr fewer and fewer ppl...

btw I'm happy to hear that this is "part of life", 'cos my closest friends starting to lose touch, going out lesser and lesser... it's quite hard to accept 'cos not many people can joke that us when we are together..

Join an online fan club, join the gym/aerobics class, get involve in fandom and games... get yourself glued to a community with people that is.

Doesn't have to be your age. You just need to mix around. Wink

Its all about whether you and your friends have the determination to keep in touch. Work, relationships, family matters are all excuses if they do not want to meet up with you. If u want to meet up with someone, surely u will find every way possible to meet up.
