If thats the case I would defintely go with ADL... Whats the point of middle stair?? Still doesnt solve human flow in lower deck...

Middle Stairs I think for passenger to go up instead of being at the lower deck...

Eg: Svc 169, morning got lots of passengers, all just dun want to go up to the upper deck.. All want to cramp at the lower deck de... So with the middle stairs, it will directly ask them to go straight up...

See the barrier at the middle stairs... Unless some stupid idiot just crouch down and enter to the lower deck...

I still think thet ADL gives a more simple and hassle free solution to the problem. The barrier IMHO sounds good on paper, but in practice it a physical barrier could end up in disaster.

Design wise i chose E500,Its great and its what i have dreamt of all along..We ought to thanks SMRT for bringing the E500 and A95 to Sg

I went to the carnival. Got two chops after completing that survey and taking a selfie with that vintage bus. Redeemed their goodie bag. Mine is the green colour bag.

The goodie bag comes with the following goodies:
- a SBS Transit sticky pad.
- a SMRT folder.
- a Tower Transit EZ-Link card plastic holder.
- a Go-Ahead sticker pack.
- a Volvo pen.
- a Alexander Dennis … keychain?
- a BSEP …pack of blank papers?
- a paper model of a vintage bus.
- a paper model of a gcm bus.
- a “our bus journey” fan (扇子).
- a miniature rubber bus buzzer, with key chain attached.

It's still round grips.

Anyway, considering how much effort, time and money is put into finding and restoring this old 1960 bus, after this exhibition they should put it in a museum or something, like the Singapore Discovery Centre, Images of Singapore, Singapore Science Centre, etcetera.

Concept for ADL (Bus A)

Exactly the same as Borismaster, not much of a new concept.

Concept for A95 (Bus B)

Now, this is interesting, because the second staircase does not scarifice as much seats as the ADL. The staircase at the back is strictly for coming down, and re-entering the lower deck's rear. So you could possibly say that the front staircase is for up only, although there's technically no restrictions.

I'll upload pictures here soon to illustrate.

Capacity wise, bus B is better.

but Maintenance wise, I think bus A is better.

bus B's two back doors are installed side-by-side. I feel that such arrangement may cause the doors to spoil easily.

Actually, a good cross-sectional picture of the bus would already show everything.

Every single door on public buses in Singapore is side-by-side. I have no idea what are you talking about.

The two back doors at bus B are two single doors installed side-by-side, right?

Anyway, I feel that this thread has already served its original purpose of discussing the event.

We can continue to use thread to discuss the event.

For discussions about the livery and the new features, I think it's better that we discuss at the other thread, titled "Our new public bus livery will be lush green!".

Unlike the similar threads, this thread is to consolidate and discuss what is confirmed to be incorporated into our public buses.

The original purpose for creating that thread is to inform everyone about the new public bus livery, as I feel that it is newsworthy. Subsequently, I feel that it can be used to discuss the future of our buses that is confirmed. In fact, we should consolidate everything there, rather than have discussions scattered all over the forum (ie. this thread on bus carnival, that thread on tender for concept buses, that thread on gcm, etcetera).
