Posting my loading analysis on sv 857 and sv 85.

Let's start with sv 857 @ 17.34 from SMU 3591 E500

SMU -- 12

Princep st -- 17 (0/5)

Selgie -- 28 (0/11), 31 (0/3)

Serangoon Rd -- 33 (-9/11), 33 (-6/6), 38 (-4/9), 39 (-2/3), 49 (0/10), 59 (-15/25) Boon Keng MRT, 60 (-3/4), 60 (-2/2), 64 (0/4)

Jalan Toa Payoh -- 72 (-6/14) bef CTE

YCK Road -- there was 854 bendy right in front.. i thought 857 will get no takers, but i was wrong. 72 (-2/2), 70 (-2/0), 86 (-2/18), 117 (0/31) you will be surprised to know both the bendy and DD were packed to door and there were still people who wanted to board. There was 857 DD in opposite direction also with many standees and full upper deck, 116 (-1/0) BC did not open door. There were at least 35-40 pax on the stop. 854 in front didn't even stop.. may be no one alighting

Lentor Ave -- 114 (-2/0), 114 (0/0), 114 (0/0), 112 (-2/0), 112 (0/0), 112 (0/0), 112 (0/0)

** Minutes after I alighted, 854 rigid came. Was relieved that maybe the rigid might have catered to those stranded pax

** What did 857 do when it didnt have DDs for so long? Need more DDs for sure!!

** Also note 857 route will not be served by TEL or DTL so can only expect loading to get higher in future

So how long does the DDs take for alighting and boarding??15-20mins compared to bendy 5-10mins??LOL

sv138 is alway having issue, and yet no BSEP fleet add. peak hours is worst now also.. they added buses for day time (for pax going to zoo) for weekday.. but if you look at the frequency of 138 departing from AMK int from 6am to 9am.....it is roughly 15-17min interval..

and from 7pm to 9pm, almost every bus departing AMK interchange is full with average 15 min frequency... last time they got the 138A which terminate at Ave 5 but dunno why they remove it.. should introduce 138B, with using some S-shift buses from other AMK interchange services.. Those s-shift buses that end shift from7pm -9pm can do a trip of 138B before return to depot..(terminate at Ave 5,)...

Think must use bendy cause take only 5 mins for alighting brooo

Service 43 DDs usually have only 40+ pax during off-peak. They are hardly utilised well. Maybe the SDs can have cross-over to 83 during peak and 43 can get more split DDs.

I think there isn't a problem if wanting to deploy DDs on 269. It's with 315 i think... is Serangoon North Ave 4 accessible for DDs? quite tight and sharp bends it seems..

Passengers MAY be an issue if 269 gets DDs...but can trial since 269 have 2-axle DD before..

But for now, I rather the service to continue fleet add. Or run more 269A.

Observations at CCK Interchange

sv 983 was running with 5 buses yesterday (2 BSEP e500s, 1 BSEP MAN, 2 SMRT MAN).

sv 301 was running with 5 buses as well (4 BSEP MANs, 1 non-BSEP MAN)

18.44 - 104 pax (DD) somehow the DD came before the SD

18.57 - 71 pax (SD) 11 pax in queue

19.04 - 68 pax (SD) 8-10 pax in queue

19.09 - 112 pax (DD) again some how DD came before SD

19.14 - 69 pax (SD) 1 pax in queue

19.24 - 104 pax (DD) 7 pax in queue

19.29 - 70 pax (SD) 15 pax in queue

19.34 - 68 pax (SD) more than 20 pax in queue

19.41 - 108 pax (DD) 2 pax in queue

** From 18.30 to 19.45 when I observed this service... each and every bus left the berth with a full capacity with some left over in queue

** Suspect 983 has one stand by bus as there were 3 SDs

** Looking at the loading, expect 983 to get 1 S shift DD added to its fleet

** Frequency is very good at 05 minutes

** Upper deck well utilized and DDs easily taking more than +100 pax

** With DTL2 opening, can expect loading to get heavier. It can become full fleet DD at that stage.

Almost every bus before 18.30 hours left with around 15-25 pax on board (not more)

Almost every bus between 18.30 and 19.45 hours left with 55-70 pax on board (at times few pax were left behind)

sv 301 doing very well compared to prior reports

Full fleet bendy. Queue continues to be super long. I think almost every bus must be leaving full capacity though did not count as it is another berth.

PM Peak at CCK

It is a chaos.. so many buses.. so much traffic jam.

In spite of having 3 services 300, 301 and 983... queues continue to be long and heavy loading.

Prime PM peak is between 18.30 and 20.00 hours at CCK according to me.

I suspect soon 983 will get more DDs as 301 can only get SD fleet add. Also observed flats at Keat Hong Close still need some time to get completed.

** Bunching with front bus occurred between West Ave 5 (towards int) and the int. The bus (SMB53H) overtook the front bus from Bt Gombak MRT to East Ave 5, after which the front bus (SMB1328J) overtook SMB53H.

** SMB53H departed <5 mins after SMB1328J departed Bt Batok Int, thus explaining the slightly weaker loading of <30 pax on SMB53H. SMB1328J was seen packed to the door (thus skipped).

For BBI, the PM peak is from 17.45 to 19.45 hours... so for sure 947 was taken in the prime PM peak... I had similar observations when I took sv 106 to BBI and waited there to monitor few routes..

Easy boarding for all 3 feeder services sv 941, 945, 947. Of these loading at BBI o n 945 > 941 > 947. 947 queue at most times had 20-25 pax only, maybe people prefer to do the extra walk and take 187/985? But why... normally Singaporeans do not like to walk. Guess in your loading, there could be people from other services who alight at the Central stop to transfer.

- A lot of people unwilling to go upstairs (before Sengkang East Rd, 16 pax were standing)
- I just want to say that not only Sengkang West residents use 85 to Yishun. I estimate at least half of those on board before Jln Kayu are heading towards Sengkang East.
