finishing my A-levels soon

but i have lost my interest for studying after the past 10 years plus, so i dun really want to continue studying at the uni

i don't know how to tell my family about this, my parents are not rich, my father earns barely enough to cover the expenses of bills, housing etc... its going to be a huge burden for my parents if i go uni... some more i'm not those extremely bright student who can tio a scholarship

thinking of signing on as a regular after NS....does mindef accept A-lvl grads? and if there is any chance of going to a poly after A-lvl? Neutral

Yup, definately you can enter poly after A levels provided you finish your NS first.

You may not qualify for the scholarships but you may be able to get a bursary. Look up the university websites or enquire with the staff when you’re at a fair. At the same time, be thrifty in your spending habits.

You can sign on at any time during your NS, so take your time to experience what it’s like first then.

well...if u want to sign on...i guess u shldn't rush into it...
take your bmt....plus service years...then see whether u suited to it anot...

other things to consider is whether u get to be sent to OCS after your bmt...take time la...most most most important is not to rush into the decision... Wink

i think got those sign 3 years to be officer thingy.

you can prob get that then can use the 3 years to recover and then go on to the uni with the money you would have saved then....

But in university.. You're learning what your interest.. So not really consider as studying lah.. Just pursuiting interest.. But if you really have no interest in anything.. Then sign on NS lor..

Sure or not, some modules are your interests while some modules you take because they are easier to score. Eventually, you have to make a choice between scoring and interests. Wink

If I am not wrong, as long as u are a A-lvl cert holder, even u get into OCS for ur NS stint, when u sign -on … u go back a smelly SGT. Correct me if I am wrong.
