Well, KB, over and above everything that's been said, the bigger
issue here is that you're at the age where you're your own man now.
Are you going to continue depending upon instructions from your
parents, or are you going to start start taking some risks and
developing the ability to navigate your own way through life?
If it's the latter, I don't see how your mother's in any position
as a parent to deny life's natural progession.
