maths is through constant practise one..

i got E for A levels prelims, and i did maths overnight almost everyday. I will start from 7pm after dinner, sit at my desk and do do do practise practise practise till 7am.

i think it continued for a few weeks, den in the end A levels I got an A for Maths C.

I did the same for O levels too. I finished the whole 10 yr series twice (for E maths), and i also got A1..

so, just continue to practise hard... Prelims usually harder than actual exams.. dun scared k! Jia you.

maths prelims are always harder than what you can expect for the o levels.
that being said it doesnt give you the excuse to be complacent . Start by trying to do EVERY single question in your TYS . Once you're at a decent level do the prelim papers of top schools like acsi , ri , chinese high , river valley etc . These have reputations for having exceptionally hard papers . If you can get 60 for any of these papers you're pretty much guaranteed a B for o levels . Anything is possible for O levels , you've got a month jsut focus and study . I got F9s from secondary 3 all the way till prelims for emath and i ended up with a B3 for my o levels ( has anyone else noticed so many people keep saying they got b3 ? ) . IF you can afford it get a tution teacher . Get ur school teachers numbers and call them from home as you do the work or ask a friend thats good to help you out. Dont waste time travelling to school and back , your bound to waste valuable study time in between

besides do question then check answer, you have to time yourself in mock tests....

like doing paper 1 (all questions, within allocated time), then check all the answers...

this gives:
1). you confidence in doing the questions
2). let you train on your time allocation skills
3). reach out on wider topics...then a few topics only...

but do this only when you have revised most topics and is ready for mock tests.... Very Happy

practise with friends who are good in maths, so that when you don't know, you can immediately ask or see their solutions....study with hardworking people.

I was a poor student in maths..calculus to be exact..got 13% nia!

To improve, need to practice smart smart, not hard hard. Read through past exam papers then you can 'spot' particular patterns.

Good thing to have a caring and helpful teacher also. Make friends with the maths nerds in your classes. Stroke their ego abit and they are very willing to help you one.
