lebron can't win against the celtics alone.the west is tougher to call, but i do hope the suns can beat the spurs this time. although i hope the lakers can w...

Spurs bounced back to whack Lakers hard.

Bynum should play Center, and Gasol moves to Power Forward which i think will suit him better.

Because Gasol is not as physical or strong as Bynum but yet has skills and passing vision for such a big men. and in a league dominated by Big Centres, Gasol is at a disadvantage. But at Power Forward, i think he can do more damage there, thereby moving Odom to small forward. Creating a big defensive wall in the lane.

yea stellazio is right, and odom is already in the small forward position since the start of season. bynum center, gasol pf, odom sf, kb sg,pg fisher. can pwn most team already , that is IF bynum can be like just as strong as he is b4 he injured his knee.

94/75, pistons won!!!!!!!!!

gasol and bynum ,who's center or power forward,is determined by what position they will play in the triangle offence, center play at the strong side low post.Bynum got the strength, but i think he is not tall enough, competing with other power forward ,fine ,he can get the rebound ,but with Duncan,is he more dominant?

I still think Gasol play the key role in laker's system.

stellazio SG

gasol gets owned by duncan anyway..

and i believe both bynum and gasol are 7 footers.

Lakers won game 4!!!

Now take 3-1 lead in the series, next game at LA staples center!!

Go lakers go!! Don't take any chances, finish them off at home...

The Lakers, who are a perfect 7-0 at home in these playoffs, are now just a home win away from a trip to the NBA Finals. Kobe Bryant scored a team-high 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead his Lakers past the Spurs, 93-91, on Tuesday night in San Antonio.

Though the Spurs never led, they had their chances. The most notable of those opportunities to take the lead was on the game's final possession, in which Brent Barry -- who scored a playoff career-high 23 points -- up-faked and tried to draw a foul, but missed the mark on a 3-point attempt that would have won the game for the Spurs.

Tim Duncan led all scorers with 29 and pulled down a game-high 17 rebounds, and Tony Parker added 23 points for San Antonio.

Trailing 3-1, the defending champs now have to win their next three games for a chance to defend their crown. Game 5 comes your way Thursday night from Los Angeles at 9 ET on TNT.

GO GO LAKERS !!

stellazio SG

game 4 shrouded in controversy by a no call on brent barry last second shot. but the lakers are leading 3-1 now and have a chance to close out the series at home.

pau gasol numbers really pathetic against duncan..tsk..lucky the lakers can keep ginobili and parker from getting too hot.

his points might be low against duncan , rebounds atleast not too bad , but atleast he's pilling up assist, he leads the lakers in assist in game 4.

Lakers have won the series 4-1 and waiting for eastern team in the final...

The Lakers are headed back to The Finals for the first time in four years.

The defending champs didn’t have enough to hold on to a 17-point advantage as Kobe Bryant erupted for 17 of his 39 points in the fourth quarter to dethrone the Spurs, 100-92, on Thursday and send the Lakers to The Finals for the first time since 2004.

Pau Gasol helped Los Angeles improve to a perfect 8-0 at STAPLES Center, notching 12 points and a playoff career-high 19 rebounds in Game 5.

Tim Duncan notched his fourth career playoff triple-double, but it wasn’t enough as San Antonio was unable to get stops on the defensive end down the stretch.

Kurt Thomas and Michael Finley were instrumental in helping San Antonio build its early lead, combining for 24 points and 11 rebounds. Tony Parker scored a team-high 23 points, including 11 in the final frame.

After taking the Western Conference Finals 4-1, the Lakers now await the winner of the Pistons-Celtics series. The NBA Finals tip off June 5 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

kobe was unstoppable, the spurs defensive specialist bruce bowen couldn't contain him, neither could duncan..

spurs normally so experienced actually let up 2 huge leads both in game 1 and game 5 and led the lakers crawl their way back in, its unbelieveable..

I agree with you, hard to believe that they allow lakers back from huge leads.. not once but twice.

Hope there's no element of 'kelong' here... usually no such histories in american sports right?

Anyway i'm waiting for the Duncan era to end.. sick and tired of seeing SA spurs dominating for more than a decade.

NBA..... no american sports usually never have a "kelong period" unlike BPL or in soccer where a Ref "hands" a thorphy over to a certain team.

The recent ref scandal NBA was very quickly dealt with & he was made sure never to step foot on B-ball courts again!

As for Spurs, I already see them out of this competition as it been documented that they win the title every odd year or so. Maybe next yr they creep up silently & win the title again.

You get to see Duncan again, though it more like Parker & Ginobilli era.

Let's enjoy a Lakers Vs Celtics Finals once again for now.

icyboiz SG

lakers vs celtic, tough matchup.. cant predict who will win at all..

BrUtUs SG

hope celtics win title...
