Well first and foremost , It has indeed been a very long time
since I last posted. For those of you who might remember me , just
to let you all know that those problems I used to experienced ,
I've put them behind.
What I'm going to post will not be another ranting post from me but
just some food for thought I guess.
I've been doing lots of observation on BGR using the people around
my social circle as my target for observation.
I've seen far too many teenage relationships crumble under the
hands of this single word called "Overprotectiveness". As far as my
observations go , I hardly see such cases being surfaced among
adult couples but is indeed rampant in the realm of teenage
relationships.
It's basic human nature for us males to feel overprotective when we
forsee a potential threat. I've seen people who become so obsessed
with suspecting that their closest friend is trying to steal their
girlfriends away so much so that they are willing to give up the
friendship for the sake of their obsessive behaviour. I guess the
blame lies in the obsessive party not taking the initiative to
actually understand the people around him.
Is there any logical explaination behind why teenage couples are
more prone to being overprotective towards one another while it
really isn't so in adult relationships?
Like I've said it's typical human nature for us to be
overprotective but we must know our limits. Even I myself sometimes
feel a slight pinch of it and I would like to know whether is there
any way in which we can actually tame the overprotectiveness inside
of us? Especially if one party has lots of friends from the
opposite sex BUT are just merely friends?
Of course at the end of the day it all boils down to trust and
respect for both parties in a relationship.
Cheers
