Weren't you the one who was severely against the ppl not
standing on 969? Surely you will see no problem with people
climbing up. Here we have two stairs aka bottlenecks will pretty
much be a thing of the past.
FYI I am assuming one of the stairs will be located at the rear,
together with one of the doors.
Hence there will be no collision between pax who just baorded and
wanna go to the rear, and the pax alighting from upper deck.
Instead alighting will be done all the way at the back, while the
pax boarding could go to the back as usual.
In fact, the three door varient will do good as people now has
an incentive to move to the rear. When I say this I mean LITERALLY
the rear. This allows for more pax to be fit in a single
bus.
But all these are still dream talk. Until we really see all of
these in the concept bus, bendy buses would, and should be the HC buses
used for all feeders and intratowns.
A 12.8m DD with dual or triple staircase would have less seats
than a 12m DD with a single staircase. Although I must admit they
will be more efficient in passenger flows than a 12m DD.
The absolute extreme in terms of pax flow vs pax seated will be
a 12.8m with a single staircase, it can carry a lot of passengers,
but will be the worst bus in terms of dwelling time.
