This morning observed 983 MAN A22 packed to the door, with a 300 bendy in front, also packed to the door. Seems like 983 is helping a little, since passengers were able to board at blk 429 MSCP bus stop.

Usually at that bus stop need to wait for 3-4 buses before being able to board. I feel that 983 needs a better frequency during the morning peak.

For now, since the route is so short, feel that bendies are more effective during the morning peak.

300 should be 10 buses > 6 bendies, 4 MANs

sv301 runs w/ 5 A22s while sv983 runs w/ 2 A22s & 2 E500s.

Given Monday loading reports, I think 983 might soon get another E500 as a fleet add in couple of months.

983 loadings is great albeit its short route..Another sucess for LTA after svc 972..Might get full DDs later..Today around 5.25pm only there are around 20 standees,full seated on the lower deck while upper deck got at least 25 pax

last time say prioritise DDs for long haul trunk routes but now introduce DDs to a route that has a journey of 15mins

I rather 300 get DDs now make the svcs more confusing for CCK residents only

Think for the long term extension to BPJ..This svc was introduced by LTA not from them so lan lan must use DDs lor

983 like Yishun cousin 860 is deemed a trunk route, so DD deployment is still valid under SMRT's DD for trunk route policy, no change...

If it was a feeder, it would b numbered as 30x, same as 860, if feeder numbered as 80x according to area's feeders...

CCK Ave 5 people very funny… Last time give them both 301 and 983, they complain about loss of link to Ave 2. Now give them link to Ave 2, they complain about 301 too windy, 983 have to pay trunk fare, and delays on 983…

983 route is direct - take it. There is no difference in amount you pay whether you take 983 or 301 because of the short route.

983 ought to get a split shift A22 or even E500..While was riding at CCK around 1845hrs saw both 983 E500 and A22 packed..Great loadings for a new svc

LTA has announced that they will introduce new service for Yishun, but not sure when. New bus stops along Yishun Ave 8 are signs that Yishun will get new service. For extension will be 860 and i think that the extension for 860 might be this year.
