254/255/257 loads can easily cross 100 pax.. Why no BSEP yet or even fleet add from SBST side... Totally ignore the JIS area.

Not cameo as ppl try to spot but nv see it on 180 ard that timing, so it is more or less on usual 176... just wrong EDS that BC and pax dunno...

Seems like sv 50 got one more WEG fleet add from HGDEP. 3418K also posted to sv 50. Now fleet is 17 buses. I think when introduced was 14 buses with 09 DDs and 05 SDs. Now 2 years later, fleet is 17 buses with 13 DDs, 04 SDs.

I think sv 50 might need another BSEP add soon, and 2 more SD slots converting to DD.

Noticed loading increase at Bishan for sv 50. Now students, industrial workers coming from CCL get down at Bishan and take sv 50 instead of changing and alighting at AMK or YCK. This could explain the increase in loading IMO.

I thnk 292 needs a fleet upgrade also. At least 1 or 2 DDs. Lately since last year, i noticed that the load for 292 is getting heavier during 7pm to 10 pm when 1 bus arrives at approx 15 mins or less. the queue alr snake until the end and plus those waiting outside the queue, the entire SD is packed to the door alr.

Guess they could just cut the trees along St 22 and St 11..

Never really see it happen before. Full SD (seated) towards int, I might have seen before, but never a full SD. It also have 20 and 39 to move the pax towards Ave 2 side. Cannot in that 15 mins, no 20/39 comes along.

But if 292 serve St 11 on both directions, could be different story.

Sv 20 would be good if it had another DD. I was working at Changi Biz Park few days ago and i noticed that Sv 20 has very good PM peak load. Probably those ppl who are lazy to walk to expo MRT.

I think issue will be better when sv 39 gets DDs with opening of Yishun next month, and sv 20 needs 1 or 2 more SD slots converted to DD. The Tampines-Simei loading is not that bad, while Simei-CBP loading during peak hours is very good and going on increasing.

Some parts of the route isnt suitable for 3 axles vehicles..not because of trees

i live along tamp ave 2 and bus along this av i observe most. i can tell frm experience no need for dd on 292. yes sometime crowded but most time u have bus svc 20 or bus svc 39. b4 bus svc 20 came into picture okay 292 needed more bus. but not now.

also from personal experience know people prefer svc 20 and svc 39 to svc 292 because it is slow and take more time. unless for peop living inside st 11 or st 22.

mr. sbs 5010p and mr. busanalayzer. i agree with both ur comment. i take svc 20 regular to simei and observe load increase. lot peop from tamp ave 2 take svc 20 to simei if come first. bus got good load bet tamp and simei town. and from simei mrt heavy crowd to changi biz park. some more dd will be gud for peop in the area. can we suggest bsep to change sd to dd for some more timing ? do i need to get sign from building peop because most peop want. i take sign and submit to bsep. okay approach ?

Sv 20 is popular because it is not as troublesome as taking MRT from Expo (The frequency is as long as 15mins) then change trains at Tanah Merah to Simei.

However it's off peak esp aft 9pm the bus can be as empty as a shell

Depends highly on the timings and direction which the DDs on Sv 169 are deployed though IMO. The 3x BSEP ones so far (3536L, 3537J, 3538G) are deployed right smack in the timings where the loadings have increased lately in direction of Woodlands from AMK during AM Peak. So I suppose that's a good choice.

I've yet to see 5027B on Sv 169 for AM Peak yet on Weekdays though, so I shall not comment on that first. But maybe IMO, SMRT should consider swapping around some of the MANs' timings with the Bendies in the other direction to AMK during AM Peak.

169 or even 172 can do well with DDs..Pax is distributed,Not majority take it for short distance..The foreign workers mostly go upper deck during factory timings for 169

Exactly my point. People complain about DDs on sv 169 saying few people go upper deck. But so much better than the rigids. Also the DDs on sv 169 doing just fine. Lot of people go to upper deck. People have just learned to complain and complain. Sadly!
