there is no need to change yourself for her.

if she goes, shes not attracted to u enough. and she, or her mom, is going to the wrong church.

theres a lot of this christian bs beliefs that are quite contrary to christianity going around. but at the end of the day, her mom is just using this as a reason to make her think that she is going against her Faith, to keep her from being with u. of course, less mature people would think that the Faith is "bad" because it advocates narrow mindedness when its the people that sux. kinda like, they themselves. contrary to popular belief, it is not a requirement to have a christian's other half beliveing in the same thing. this belief is endorsed only by the pastor/priest of that girl.

if u can, please churn out a verse or two saying that the spouse/gf/bf of a guy/girl must be a christian if the former is one. if u cant, please kindly go n edit out your childish nonsense to prevent pissing others off.

I wouldn't suggest forcing yourself to go church. This is most unbiblical. Sure, you can find out more about Christianity, which I suggest you do. If you can match her "wavelength", then it makes things easier too. Didn't Sun Tzu say know yourself and know others, you win all battles?

You have to be really careful...it may still backfire if she questions your sincerity in becoming a Christian. It's much more ideal if your faith comes from within yourself.

Meanwhile, you may want to ask yourself/her a few questions:
Do you see facets which you've heard about God in her?
Does she inspire you to find out more about her religion?

She's already given her criterion, but exactly what makes her stay with you instead of ending it there and then?

Depending on how patient you are, you may elect to:

- terminate the relationship with her and free yourselves up to find mroe suitable partners, or
- keep the status quo and
(a) enjoy the relationship while it lasts
(b) see if something causes a U-turn in your unbelief or her ultimatum.

Quoting verses will only get reactions and counter quotation. What's the point? I believe i've been lenient to only edit the Verse part and let your statement sustain in this topic.
Do you also think your statement have helped in this thread?

Religious comments which are easily steered towards religious discussion and debates.
Then again, it's easy to close a topic...only at the expense of threadstarter.
Shall we agree that relationship & religion(esp christianity) is a touchy issue and shall be thread carefully?

Which i think 1)If Devil thinks the threshold is over, he'll naturally close it.
2)If this discussion goes out of hand. It shall be closed.

For the sake of the threadstarter, the mod cannot have wishy washy definition of the term 'religious comments' so as to 'help' the threadstarter sift objective views from religious comments.

Religious comments does not neccessarily mean verses exclusively, and as far as I can see, despite two warnings, other forumers have continued doing so, including

a)a challenge to churn out a verses or two to

b) terms insinuating the mother might have been mistaken about her faith

c) telling someone else Catholics and Christians are two different people

d) a personal statement on the Bible, a description of the Christian fellowship, a statement exhorting topicstarter to believe in Jesus, not for the gf

Want me to name some more?

Because mod has failed to define 'religious comments', they have continued doing so in various guises or statements, and fail to sift them out from objective views. Has mod aid or guide the forumers to present their own objective views to the topicstarter?

About Kuali baba, I thought he gave quite a reasonable advice to threadstarter.
I respect the fact that he did not challenge the faith of threadstarter's gf, nor attempt arouse any wrath of other forumers.
Do we agree that Kuali's post was meant especially for technoboy and will in turn lead him to think deeper about his decisions? I personally think he've placed his post in a good light. And benefit of doubt was given(by me).

Wishy Washy? This is AA...i wouldn't call it wishy washy. It all depends on how you look at it. I'd wish for you to contribute regularly in AA and we'll see how it goes?

I hope each post is geniunely for threadstarter's well being.
Unfortunately, there will always be some people who cannot stand but to post some personal thoughts of religion into the thread.
