Bontakun SG Know that the person is with you "or in your heart" always. *I will always love you and be grateful to you, grandmother...*
casino_king SG Grieve but not too much... cry but not too much... talk about the one who has passed on but not too much... keep in mind but not overwhelmingly... remember but not 24/7... take a break but not too long... people die and life goes on... but take time to grieve and miss that person but not too much.
fudgester SG Yeah I know how it feels... my grandfather passed away last Monday night. I guess the best way is to not ruminate on it too much. Grieve for your loved ones who have passed, but not to the point where you reach the point of despair. Rather, accept that they've moved on to a better place, and that it's time for you to move on as well. Good luck.
Bontakun SG My condolences to those whos’ loved ones have passed on. Know that they went to a better place and be happy for them.
ILPSY SG It depends on individuals... Some people dun wanna talk about it... Some people talk and talk about it... Dun probe if they dun wanna talk... Listen when they talk... When its time to cry, then, be brave and cry... Do not feel any guilt (you lament about not spending enough time with him/her etc) as it will make you even more miserable... When its time to let go, pls let go...
ILPSY SG I think the most scary thing is that, maybe few years down the road, when you wake up one fine day, and suddenly, you realise you have forgotten how the person looks like, or how important he/she is to you.
Bontakun SG Even if you forget what the person looks like, what he/she did or anything else, you will never forget he/she was once there and you can feel his/her presence. Not as in the ghost is there lah, but you can feel it and know he/she was once in your life. Lets not dwell too much into the negative side and focus on the positive instead. Shall we?
browniebaobao SG let time do the necessary.. frens ard should be sensitive enough, not to ask whether he's happy or still grieving etc. i had a net fren who asked me whether im happy that my father was no longer ard...
