is it worth to have a maid or worth?

what do u think, i am thinking hv employing maid, anybody knows how much is it for monthly to pay maid? very sad we hv to pay levy, if not more affordable and pity maids work like mad but get paid less, minus the levy.

someone told me, if u got small kids and elderly it is cheaper, is that true?

but counting the amt i feel sayang to spend few hundreds a month for maid to do housework. is it worth?

It depends. As for me, both my parents are working and 1 of my siblings is still young. So having a maid is veasible to us. If you just want her to clean the house, i reckon u do it yourself.

if you need help with the housework, why not consider those cleaning companies who sends cleaners down to your home for a fee? can be weekly or more frequent basis.

another alternative, ask around your neighbourhood for a part-time domestic helper(those aunties).

a maid could not cost more than 250 a mth. but see if tis worth spending. if u got elderly parents or kids sort out the situation first. and frm my experience, not all maids are slave angels.

Your question is really hard to answer,it really depend on u and your wife financial status,if both are u r working (which is common now) and u have kids,it will be gd to have a maid but there an alternative of childcare centre if u dun like to have stranger being in your hse.
but remember if u have a maid ,u have to be responsible for her safety lah,her whereabouts etc,if she commit some offence u may be liable too hence it impt to chose a gd maid also . think it better to employ a local one perhaps an auntie from the neighbourhood or maybe your relatives although the costs of local one is higher at least u are not responsible for her well-being after work and living expense will be reduce too for the maid.

depends on your family. both my parents work and they arent at home most of the time, even on weekends. what's more my brother and i still go to school so yea the house is empty most of the time and theres no one to manage the housework.

Must really consider some factors before choosing:

- Do u need them ?
- Is ur children old enough to do some house chores ?
- Are you a busy person ?

but is not onli $250 + or lower for their salary, u have to add some morecash for their food fees, travelling fees and even giving up 1 of the room in your house for them to live in. Ur water fees and electricity bills will sure increase by a little.

when choosing, u have to choose the correct 1 that u trust-most, hardworking, able to speak the language for easy communictaion.

i mean do we need to pay that govt, how much must we fork out a month for maid, if i hv child and eldery? is it subsided.

i find it is expensive if we need to pay levy, and maid. we r not that rich but need help to manage house and child as both working.

someone told me abt$550 amonth is it true, but maid salary only 230/- is it true, but totally how much do we need to fork out?

do we still need to pay levy that much.

i 've a child pri.1 and she prefer to stay at homethen go to her grandma house where she find it boring, nothing to do all day there. so i thought of hv a maid to be with her at our own home. and house is everyday minute so messy, and i can't manage.

but we can leave the house messy until weekend then i do cleaning, and my child can be at her grandma house, or is it worlth to have maid and be at my house.

ok, i'm glad i have a good maid. She's been with us for 1 yr and went back n now came back again.

Maid salary is around 280 and u have to pay levy of 200 if u have child(ren) below 12yo, or elderly above... hmm i forgot the age liao. If your dun hv kids or old ppl at home, think d levy is 250. As for maid salary now is no more 230 liao as d gov up it to 280 min even for newcomers ( no experience maid)

don’t know why must pay govt so so much $200. total 450/- just for a maid and maid salary 250/- so sad, looks likei can’t afford. how come so expensive, very very sad.

Not worth getting a maid. She can bring to you home more trouble than you think coz you the employer is responsible for her well-being.

Best to get part-time helpers to do laborious tasks. Do the light chores yourself.

Basically the maid expenses cost ard $700 including Levy, salary and her dwelling. Dun forget you gotta feed her and tt excluding the extra cost of the
electricty and water used with tt extra person at home.
