As far as i'm concerned, the tobacco industry is expanding and operates in over c'tries and is a billion dollar industry. If you can get into the marketing dept, they would give you a free car, how cool is that.

Just curious.. do you have a good 2nd uppers or a first class honors? How about your CCA records and work experience? Because from what I know BAT selects only the best of the best.. so its very likely you have 1 or 2 of the above. Thats why I was really impressed if you made it into BAT

As for being a management trainee, did the company promise you that there will definitely be guranteed employment after you have completed the training phase? From what I heard and know of... there will elimination.. say given a scenario of 10 trainees only 2 or 3 will make it and become high flying management personnel.. the rest don't even get a chance for relocation within the same company... based on what I know

drifting guy: from what you said, it sounds that the MA system is just like Capitaland, nothing much is pretty much confirmed untill u do well in all the projects assigned to you.

Pretty sad thing is that after all the years of studying for that degree, the working world is another rat race once again.

on my 2nd rd of interview at dxo today, not sure how the career prospects there are like but the job scope seems kinda boring though heh. paywise not sure maybe $2.5k?

Btw, just wondering cause someone mentioned somewhere in this forum that the civil service benefits applies everywhere except MINDEF. What does that mean? Cause i’m applying for a position of DXO which is technically also considered a government job. Whats the pay increment annually for that job?..is it the same as for other govt/stat boards?

From what I've heard, benefits CAN be good... But it's REALLY COMPETITIVE in there... And they'll EXPECT you to PERFORM with RESULTS....

I've got a friend working in there... Maybe I can try and find out more for you if you want me to? But then again, I'm not sure if I might even be able to find out?
