985 DD arrives at CCK Interchange at 18.20 hours. Was a bit surprised, as this means it does not really do the Lor 1 - CCK route during prime peak hours but just before peak.

No sv 67 DD appears at CCK Interchange between 17.40 and 19.20 hours... First DD appears at 19.20 hours... This means all KJDEP DDs are timed for peak hour from Tampines to CCK (looks like)... OR I just missed the DDs departing CCK for peak trip between CCK and Tampines. Nevertheless I think DD timings on sv 67 seem to be timed for peak hours correctly unlike sv 985.

Problem for 67 now it is spammed with a hell lots of A22s..Might as well cut 3 SDs and put just 1 DD to perform..Reduce 2 split duties for weekdays,Most of the time during peak hours,Buses from either depots loves to follow each others which result in less loadings and bunchings..Today at Tampines around 1816hrs only 3 A22s,1 bendy and 1 DD enter int at an average of 5 mins!.969 face overcrowding issues again and i see 2-3 A22s really cant cope with the paxs around 1800-1830hrs

There was only one DD on 172 yesterday (15/7) which was on 172S107...i spotted the whole fleet...

172S107 used to be bendy, but was downgraded to rigid, now this slot seems to be converted to DD...

i took 172 full route during AM peak and full route at 4 plus...none of the AP buses are DDs and 5053A ran on 172S107 on both AM and PM peak...

Not surprised... coz SMRT side have no spare DDs to give... all KJ buses already deployed on perm services.. Might be able to give one bus max... or have a fleet add from BSEP side... as there are quite a few KJ BSEP DDs spare.

Also... I feel from BSEP KJ side... 3-4 DDs will remain spare until end of year when 983 gets extended to BPJ.. Looking at the loading on sv 983... for sure will need more DDs... In fact... can already make 983 full fleet DD with 4 DDs... as the demand warrants it during peak hours + more and more flats opening up in Keat Hong area.

Only managed to spot all AP buses for 172 during my ride during AM off peak...all rigids... but while i was at cck int at 0815hrs, spotted the DD (unsure rego) leaving cck int for Boon Lay, and that slot was again 172S107...

Anyone who wish to take the DD on 172, i have posted the timings for this duty in another thread before :)

Yes 171 could just do Yishun and loop back via BPJ Ring road... alternately can be extended to Keat Hong...

Keat Hong area will need 1-2 more services apart from 983 and 172. My proposal is to extend sv 700 to CCK via Keat Hong. On the other hand, have 983 start at BPJ and loop @ CCK instead.

Is CCK interchange getting an extension like Tampines, Sengkang, Punggol?

Is the DD on 172 just a cameo... and maybe replacement for some bendy slot on that particular day.
