Different people react differently to different situations and
in the given predicament, she would be better off left alone if
that is what she wants. I don't think you should even equate your
existence(or your importance to her for that matter) to being by
her side when she's down. Quite simply, just because she wants you
to leave her alone doesn't necessarily mean she treasures you less.
Don't get me wrong - I don't mean you shouldn't give a damn about
her. But sometimes, things are better left till she has gotten over
her dissapointment(of sorts) before you approach her.
