I feel that there is something that is only known at the
community level of the individual towns, seldom known at the
national level of Singapore, and rarely known at the international
level of the world.
A person who stays in a town for many years would know very well
the bus network in that town. However, a person who stays at other
towns may not know as well, or not know at all, of the bus routes
in that town.
I want to create a thread where we can share "trade
secrets".
We can present the bus route network at the town we stay in, and
let everyone know which bus routes in our town provides what direct
bus connections between MRT stations and between towns.
We can also share bus routes that offer scenic views,
etcetera.
The objective of this thread is to enhance our understanding of
the bus routes in Singapore, and to increase our awareness of the
rich variety of bus connections in Singapore.
This can be useful to us, in the event (eg. Train Service
disruption) when we are lost and without access (eg. No WIFI) to
information on how to go, as we never know when random information
like this may come handy. It is good to have a general knowledge
about the bus routes in every town in Singapore.
In addition, this can help promote tourism and sight-seeing in
Singapore, for locals and foreigners alike.
This can also help to instill the sense of belonging to
Singapore, and enhance our national identity.
Whose name is Singapore? OURS! :D
