I think the relationship is ok as both of them have different surnames. Some of you mention that father’s side cannot but mother’s side can but to the girl its her mother’s side so isn’t that a bit contridicting? However the hard truth is asian culture does not really cater to such relationships because of our thinking, especially with the older generation. Its hard to swallow but that’s how it works. I wld advise consulting each other’s parents if you’re really serious abt one another before things get out of hand.

I sympathise with you, but honestly speaking, in my POV, using religion is just an excuse, and I have discussed this with my other christian friends and we agree that in all the times we were christian there wasn't any condemning of relationships with cousins.
