Went to take bus 240P just now at Lakeside MRT station bus stop.
First time take PPSS (I stay in another area of Jurong West, not
Boon Lay).
The bus I took has around 40 seats. I did head count. There were
around 35 people on board when the bus left Lakeside MRT station
bus stop.
Most people alight at Boon Lay Place, similar to 243 where most
people alight at Pioneer Mall/Gek Poh Shopping Centre.
Anyway, there
were around thirty five people on board. If this was a standard SBS
bus with prescribed capacity for 87, the bus would only have been
around 40.2% occupied.
Meanwhile, I
made two discoveries:
-PPSS can use
concession pass.
-PPSS can
allow maximum ten people to stand.
Did you board the coach or the citybus? PPSS do charge the same
fare as the normal feeder service so all concessions are accepted.
About how many standees the bus could accomodate will depend on the
type of bus deployed (there are some coaches on PPSS that do not
allow standees).
