electronics are all taken at yr 1 level

during yr 1, u wun be touching anything on aerospace...all are common subjects like basic electronics and circuit analysis and maths

from yr 2 onwards, u are allowed to choose the type of elective subjects u wan..robotics, virtual reality or Aerospace. After which, if u got into AE, den u will study some material science and thermal fluid studies in yr 2..

in yr 3, after completing your attachment, you will be studying subjects like aircraft propulsions, aerodynamics, airworthiness admin and human factors.

I not sure about the aerospace course over in SP Rolling Eyes

i dun neo that ’’conselloor’’ name leh…but i know he know the deputy director of mechanical and engineering school….he got wear spects one and he no the skinny….he was there at the JAE when i went there…BTW whats DARE???

haha me second batch and therse is about 7 girls out of the whole aerospace course. Should be happy that there are 3 in my class. It makes my class somewhat civilised.

Btw...you wun become gay. But you may find yourself turning into a multicolour werewolf.

And one more thing...if you are think that this course allows you to design aircraft, you are wrong. It teaches you on how to maintain aircrafts. Hence the 14 caas exemptions. if you wnt to design aircraft you better go and get a degree.

yea...i planning to get a degree after E course...heard alot of people went to australia after that course to take a degree course....

then i really wonder how the boys get to know their girlfriends there....hmmm is there alot of foreigners...wa then competitions will be high lor....how many percentage foreigners ar????

hmmm if you talk about diploma cert wise, if you want to be a licensed aircraft engineer, sp has an advantage, becos it has alot of examptions from the caas papers. For most TP people i heard that they have to pay to for their own caas examinations. But if you are talking about degree, both are about the same. They are just stepping stones.

i don't think a diploma dude is "qualified" by aerospace standards to design an aircraft from scratch man.

they can lockwire, replace components, look for defects, unscrew stuff only Laughing

Although FEs are cross-trained as Aircrew-Specs (ACS), they are not ACS. They don't replace ACS. The only reason why a chinook needs FE during flight is because chinooks have a faulty hydraulic system and may give problem during flight. FEs are primarly technicians.

yes and they get less that $300 more than technicians. that is not quite a pulling factor for us to be a FE.

anyone know abt joining the navy or airforce or army when u are 17 through the dun neo what JOINT POLYTHENIC-SAF-Diploma scheme(JPSDS)????

need some advice here......is it good??? i mean i can get paid up to 1000 dollars monthly juz by joining it and when studying at poly.....but then what will happen when i got my diploma le???go BMT then wat???stucked at those post(naval specialist,air force specialist ETC.) for years more than a normal NS serving???

and if i cancel that course halfway will i need to pay money or wat???

but i find it quite linked to what i wanna do next time leh.....ok if i cant build or design weapons for singapore...but at least i can have a touch of them like when servicing the weapons or maintain it.....

if u choose to quit, u pay back whatever you owe which is alot of money.

Neo i am in Aeronautical year 1 too taking CEM as well….hmm basically there are 2 routes towards an aircraft engineer….LAEs which would be more of the hands on engineers and GEs,the graduate engineers(uni students) who would do more of the research stuff and designing stuff….Well enter aeronaut dont need scared no gals cause basically there are not many girls in the first place…want know girls dont have to be same class as em,if u know how,naturally u will know girls from other departments….well,it aint hard but it aint gonna be easy if u dont study lolz….
