Dango SG it depends on which type of microwave ovens you talking about. Those more advance models have conventional oven features, you can use it to bake things.

SBS1985C SG Do not use metal or shiny stuff in the microwave. It will explode like the ones shown on Braniac on Arts Central.
ditzy SG Can, but make sure you line the bottom of the microwave with a sheet of aluminium. And make sure you stand back while its baking.
