Should I transfer course?

I am currently a Year 1 student taking a Diploma in Information Technology. My school is offering us to transfer course. The application period is from 24 January to 27 January 2006.

When I first choose the courses during JAE, I was already confused. I am interested in both science and technology, but my grades aren't good enough to enter the science courses. So I choose Information Technology over science.

Now the school is offering us to transfer course and I have the met the requirements, which is:

Accumulating a GPA of at least 2.5 (I scored 3.4)

My interest in science is still very strong and so is my interest in IT.

What should I do?

flip a coin, since either sounds good to you. if you insist on choosing one side, and when you get stressed about school work etc, you will regret and hate yrself.. which may happen either choice u made. y not u flip a coin, and when u regret juz blame the damm coin. lol.

do note dat IT and sciences have some parts dat crosses over.

when you said science, what does it actually refer to?
can give some example of the modules?

Specifically genetics and microbiology. I have no preference over both. Both of these courses are offered under the same diploma, which is Diploma in Biomedical Sciences.

choose the 1 tat ur interest is stronger, so next time u work, u can find jobs that u like working.

you alread stabilised in IT. ur GPA quite good. So if u transfer to science, its a risk.

I think you should consider the job market before you decide if you should switch.

got BI.. bio-informatics, for example. for nyp lar. its a mixture of bio and it.. or even for my it dip, i have specialisation into bio as well. but im doing gaming.

if u do want to transfer, do consider these hybrid courses. i think shld be easier for u? think oni.

job market can change..
just like all jump into IT and result in too many IT people and not as much jobs for them

I would have considered the job market as 1 factor and the speciality of the course as another. for example, if you study nursing, other than nursing as a carrer your avenue is limited.

the problem is alot of ppl in IT dun even like working with computers! what happen den? suffer lor, come out becuz not nuff technical skills die lor.

I know this, but since I am Year 1, I'm taking a risk because all Year 1 students in RP take 12 common courses.

It is only in Year 2 that we start studying the courses that are related to our diplomas.

Got consider, but job market keeps changing. A few years ago, IT market saturated and no jobs. Last year, saw a lot of companies advertising IT jobs. I still got 2 more years (hopefully) before I graduate. Wonder if the market will change.

Also thinking whether will the biomedical sciences market be saturated by then. Too hard to predict. Neutral

Thinking of biotech also, but first consideration is biomedical science because got microbiology and genetics. Smile

I am not one of them. Just happens that I am interested in IT. And so coincidentally that I also like science. Sad

u cun noe one.. until u gone through it. ive been wanting to study it since sec1.. but sometimes, i feel dat i shld go into business or press for design becuz im more talented in those. but i wun change my mind even if i can turn back time n choose again.
