They will definitely give a bulk of DDs to Sv 190... But SMRT does not have experience with DDs... Why add to the problems of 190... Better to try out on 963...

"In the next 3 months, more Double Deckers will be progressively introduced to 9 other bus services, following a series of road tests, tree pruning and personnel training. These are essential services plying longer, heavily used routes, namely Bus Services 106, 188, 190, 850E, 951E, 960, 963, 966 and 969."

Tree pruning will be along Newton-Little India stretch for 960. Maybe 48, 66 will start getting DDs too in future.

As 972 is under BSEP, most likely it will be the 3rd grp(all 3 are BSEP buses).

Wondering what's the next svc after 972...

850E, 951E for sure.

860 deserves too but will only happen with move to yishun temp interchange.

Base on current no. of bendies in the svc, I guess....

I'm not sure if there's a need for BSEP slots for 190...

But is the svc going to run both bendy n DD?

And SMRT makes it seem like some huge-huge event.

Sure, I appreciate SMRT's move to take onboard DDs.

But there is really nothing to celebrate about being late by 2 decades if we look from this perspective.

It is definitely an event worth celebrating for SMRT. It has taken the plunge and it is a historic event in its operations.

Even before ADDs came, 190 already had DDs.

To even mention that 190 will soon have DDs is really a joke.

Albeit one that BPJ residents probably didn't appreciate. 190 lost its DDs when SMRT took over.

Sure.. U should definitely find every reason to celebrate and be happy. In our society, we have out sarcasm and cribbing over enjoying and appreciating.

Smrt should make the most of this historic event, celebrating with its teams and the community it serves.

and the very first batch of SBST ADD have already been send to scrap yard.. it took SMRT 12 years to purchase their first ADD....

106,188,190, 960, 963, 966 and etc. but Y NO 67??? 67 is horrible interms of load and sometimes timing, can come 3 SDs or 1 SD & 1 Bendy tgt but both buses all full at little india during peak, weekends and PHs.
