They will definitely give a bulk of DDs to Sv 190... But SMRT does not have experience with DDs... Why add to the problems of 190... Better to try out on 963...

No height restrictions for Bukit Batok but later on BSEP bus will be added for the greater convenience.

945 used to have DDs under SBS (Service 365 back then), definitely no height issue on this service

945 actually will be a good candidate for DD because many people take it from st 34 area to Bukit Batok. Those alighting at Gambok can be at lower deck, those to BBT will go upper deck.

Will 67 & 960 get banned aft an incident on a 960 DD yesterday?

A 960 DD hit a tree on the side along Newton, shattering top left 1st & last windows... DD suffered dents and scratched on the front topside... Roofsides, i believe much more serious if the tree protrued a bit more and that's it!

I believe last time i mentioned before, things like this, waiting for accident to happen even if NParks/LTA/3rd party thinks it's passable and gave green light... Can't everything blame it on BC in such case, should be the one who's incharge and gave green light... If complained, they will close one eye until something really happen then they play blame game!

On contrary to the above post, sv 960 got even more DDs deployed and sv 66 a mass DD debut.

Now you are saying A24s are useless for feeders/intra-towns??

IMO, AMDEP's 3 A24s should be split out to different svc rather than throwing to 804/806. IMO, both 804/806 have been doing great so far, that's why it's abit useless.

Should deploy A24s to svc like 172/180/900/901 with terrible frequency or high demands and yet plenty of SDs in their fleet first, making it useful and bring benefits.

Or they should take the opportunity to test run other svces, Or take back a few s811 duties..

If you have read SMRT's press releases and facebook posts, they have said that bendies are better suited for feeders, so A24s on feeder routes are exactly where they should be.

So can I ask you this question, are bendy still able to deploy to trunks? If no, if a DD broke down, as a starter, are you going to deploy a SD or Bendy?

I understand that SMRT repeat over and over, but I know their intention is to reduce the space taken on those city areas with jams, not that bendy is die die cannot deploy on trunks.

E50s or any DDs are not supposed to be on feeders until most of the trunks and express svcs got DD upgrades.

maybe he is saying if there is no spare DDs, what will they deploy if a DD breaks down?

if a DD breaks down, the best is to have a DD replacement. if there is no DDs, the next best is a bendy replacement. unless bendies not suitable, rigids will never be a replacement.
