They will definitely give a bulk of DDs to Sv 190... But SMRT does not have experience with DDs... Why add to the problems of 190... Better to try out on 963...

How many times do I have to explain that there is originally an issue, but the problem has already been rectified as evident from 961 using DDs? You should have gone and noticed one post in a thread months ago which indeed mentioned that there is originally a problem there depending on which exit the buses use. That problem has already been rectified!

I do acknowledge that the previous time I mentioned entrance instead of exit, yes, this is one of my careless mistakes. But this time round, I have read that post multiple times and came to this final conclusion that somehow the layout of the terminal seems to have been modified such that 961 can use DDs.

there is no issue at all at the exit or at the car park.... i did not see that post that u have highlighted until now, but what that guy say is wrong..... bus 11/70X did turn out from that particular exit into lor 1 and onto mountbatten road in the past (when it was one way).... it does not make an u-turn at all.... and even when Geylang lor 1 was converted to a two way road, bus 11 still turn out from the particular junction..

The land behind Kallang MRT still vacant?Its best that LTA built a proper terminal with alighting/boarding facilities with at least 3 boarding berths and 18 parking lots thus the current one can close for other planning.

No...the total number of buses in both non-BSEP and BSEP batch must add up to the original number in the initial order, which is 201. As mentioned, there is no official press release stating that SMRT purchased 103 Enviros for its use and not BSEP.

RIght now registered up to SMB3596M [96 buses] & SMB5067K [67 buses].

Total: 163 / 201 buses

Registration no. up to SMB3602D and SMB5072U were spotted by a user [refer to previous page].

Probable no. of buses by next month in total: 174 buses

174 / 201 buses = 102 buses [SMB3501L - SMB3602D] + 72 buses [SMB5001A - SMB5072U]

Currently there are more BSEP buses [registered] than non-BSEP, so I don't think there will be SMB5103P or SMB5201P for now.

Of the over 570 buses that SMRT has confirmed delivery for, 218 are introduced and funded under SMRT’s participation in the Land Transport Authority’s Bus Service Enhancement Programme.

I had a breakfast meeting @ Raffles Hotel today. As I stepped out, 961 3581E came. So the timing towards Lor 1 Geylang is 8.55am at Raffles Hotel (for those interested).

Don't waste the money getting any more bendies. Not practical for a small country wanting to squeeze in 6.9 million people.

Convert that 80 A24 to 100 A95 instead.

I think you should know how BSEP and GCT works in future.

All the buses now will eventually belong to LTA and LTA will allocate these buses to the contracted operators.

So yes, those buses, the BSEP ones, now serving Bukit Batok and Jurong East will eventually go to LTA control and lease out to Tower Transit.

Its not practical for DDs to ply intratowns and feeders too.

Pls dont get me started. The reasons are clear and it had been debated countless times
