Don't try to think any simple way out of this...

Unless like mentioned earlier, your employer's acts or terms & conditions are against the ministry's protection scheme and you're covered within.. There might not be an easy way out... Or if you manage somehow to blow a proportion out of the matter and it's covered by the media... Then perhaps people might be more bother with what you say....

once u are earning more than 1.6k per month, you are no longer protected under MOM's employment act already

your company has the right to do anything to you, even if your employment contract terms contravenes the MOM's employment act

employment act only covers lower income workmen

she has to check with MOM on the contract details to know if the employer has flouted the manpower law. unfortunately she has herself to blame for her carelessness.
