In 2014, RapidKL announced a placing of order for 80 Alexander Dennis Enviro 200s for fleet expansion and upgrading.

A year later, the first of these orders came into service on Tempatan (Local Feeder) routes under the Cheras Depot route group.

These Enviro 200s are manufactured as Complete Knock Down (CKD) kits shipped from UK, with assembling done up by DefTech Malaysia at it's plant in Pekan, Pahang.

As of posting of video, these buses can be found running on T433, T424 as well as occasional appearances on T417.

I dont think you know what are E200s and E400s.

Firstly, how would E200s be a WASTE when usually, it couldnt even fill half of a regular 12m rigid? And btw waste is not the word, you are not paying more to operate E200s in place of current 12m SDs - you are paying less due to fuel consumption.

And E200 is an SD; E400 is a DD. Certainly 882 does not deserve DDs, look at its loading now.

Sembawang isnt gonna develop anytime soon. Unless it gets re-routed to Bidadari/Canberra, its loading is gonna remain this way.

Maybe there should be 1-leaf door for the entrance instead of 1 pair..save space also. And instead of tapping, maybe when technology is good, just use the concept of ERP to suck the money out when they walk pass(under)~

And perhaps they should consider going back to Low Entry buses. Just include more seats(priority ones), with 1 wheelchair bay.

Thats for DD... LTA only dare buy E50D coz HK mass purchase, and somemore KL also start to intro... Hence give SMRT green light...

It is nit first time... All the Tridents Wrights and VSOs also came this way...

LTA use HK and KL as huge references on the bus types they want in SG... So E300s wouldnt really stand a chance unless LTA decides to experiment new types from Europe which they, if they had wanted in the first place, would have done so a long long time ago...

Who would have thought that SBST would never bought Volvo WAB SDs in large quantity and favour Citaros and KUB more?They should have buy the B7RLE over the KUBs given their relationship with Volvo.I would have never dream that SMRT would buy Alexander Dennis product in the first place considered how they early deregistred their Lances..A VanHool with MAN engine also possible..MAN also sent their design to LTA for the Sg bus concept.

True, but looking at the some passengers, they tend to avoid boarding the front most(on your left/left most from door cock). As such, I wonder if it would be better if it's just 1 leaf alone(don't need to choose, just board).

Not true actually..SMRT just didn't focus much on all the buses.

You see 1107C, 1109Y, 1139K, 3511, 3531..always in good condition. Plus, Idk why 1 Citaro/OC need to travel to WLDEP for "check-up". Might as well transfer to them? Or split the tech. teams up.

Maybe NS forgotten to teach ppl to set up more base camps etc.

some of buses have good maintainance by the assigned SLs.
