As far as i see feeder svc like 240 & 334 is well utilise by commuters given the timings and distance they cover,Almost same scenario for Townlinks like...

Do you know that when the 2nd bus arrive Wdl(not interchange), the first will depart and there's no bus inside int. Obviously, if the 2nd bus stuck in jams, the first will suffer badly.

And did you know? Everytime or most of the time, at 1 go, it's already 40+ pax. It also depends on what time you observed.

Like I have mentioned, there might not be a need to have full DD, but at least 80% of the fleet are DDs. With it's lousy management, I forsee this won't come true or stay permanent. No fixed pattern? Obviously bullshit.

Even if it's the starter's fault, which bus can ferry 38-40 Pax at 1 go? Are you on the bus too? Because you should seriously see how poorly manage this is. I wish I could.

The journey time is only 1 hr max. That why they did not plan for sv161 to have long break at wdl. The bc will be having long break at HG.

Not sure why if 2nd bus got jam the first bus will suffer ?? so are you saying that those pax who are suppose to take the 2nd bus can predict that the second bus will be late n then rush out early to take the 1st bus??

lousy sbst management? Haha. Smrt is the one with lousy management. Looking at their deployment of buses. Seriously SBST is managing most of its services well. ESP on deploying DD. What have Smrt done in deploying DD? By replacing bendies instead say that it is fleet upgrade ?

seriously if u think sbst is lousy in management u can go take smrt sv965 instead. Plenty of MAN A22 for u on a Sunday. No DD deploy. This is call good management?

Why not? If the bus at WRI departed, and the next bus have yet to arrive, obviously there won't be any bus inside WRI for 161. Moreover if there's a jam, isn't it worst? Worst still when the next bus is a SD..

Exaggerate? 9plus at night, I see a Strider departing with standees already. 9plus in the morning, I am already standing at the rear door of a DM. 12noon to 2, I am already near to the front door of a KUB. This isn't weekdays where you get a empty WEG out of WRI during afternoon..

Svc965 is somewhat fine with the A22s on weekends. Only requires more DDs for peak hours weekdays. Haha taking the longer route? Nah..when I can transfer 86 > 168 which has better management in capacity.

Maybe HGDEP should seriously consider looping 161 on Weekends to boost the frequency. Prob a 5-10mins layover at WRI(or HG int).

why keep one bus at WDL? frequency is around 13-15 mins, that mean they need to put more bus to just park the bus at the interchange...

still dun understand your logic of WHY the 1ST BUS WILL SUFFER when the 2nd bus got delay....if there is jam, how to park one bus at the interchange? further, even that park bus manage to depart on time, then what about the next bus?? still stuck in jam mah..so what is your logic? might as well ask all the bus companies standby one bus with a driver in each interchange...

then u should look at SMRT.... their frequency on weekend are so bad.. and worst, they deploy SDs.. .....why u have to wait till all the DDS deploy then u comments? They have already wasted few years in buying/deploying the DDs... They should already started buying DDs 6-7 years ago if they are capable of managing their bus operations...

u just complain that there is no bus inside WDL interchange when the earlier bus leave, now u r asking Sv161 to loop at WDL? u r contradicting yourself.

Right now, what SBST does is similar to looping sv161 at WDL during weekend, with around 5-8 mins break/layover only which include the time to drive to the parking area, tap card and drive to the boarding area...

If you have read carefully, I didn't say all the time only, I did mentioned OR MOST of the time. [ evidence : Everytime or most of the time ] AND it's weekends btw..

PLEASE DO READ AGAIN...I don't expect FULL DDs BUT at least MAX. 3 SDs deployed and not more. If they can make much profit, sure there's $$ to upgrade 2-3 SDs slot to DD(presume there's 4-6 SDs).

Isn't it better to see the whole picture than zooming into the process? So are you going to blame SMRT for not deploying DDs on 965 when they do not have the full resources? So what if they bought the DDs recently? At least they started it, rather than ignoring it.

as for SMRT i am not just saying about Sv965 and for weekends, they also got excess DD rotting inside the bus depot/bus parks mah... just deploy lah since SMRT also earn a lot of money.... yes.. they only started buying DD last year, while the first Aircon DD of SBST have already retired from service....

Service 43 often have DDs during the off peak hours with literally 55 seats available on the upper deck. Yesterday, SBS3435K was on 43M towards Punggol (on SBS3431X slot) and reached Buangkok MRT at 2.25 pm with 0 pax. Bunched with SBS3376Y on 43, though scheduled 10 minutes apart. SBS3435K was 5 minutes ahead of schedule.

According to SBST schedule at Buangkok towards Punggol,

43: 2:09 WAB (SBS5156C) 2:20 WAB (Random BSEP DD) 2:32 (Random VO3X)

43M: 2:12 WAB (SBS6498J) 2:30 WAB (SBS3431X)

I don't understand..how is it contradicting? I'm just giving another suggestion. I believe that will better improve the frequency at Wdl isn't it? I believe you don't get me? What I meant for "No 161 in the interchange literally means that there's longer frequency + waiting time?

Which is why I'm suggesting the svc to loop instead...it cuts down the waiting time also.

Because it seriously happening too frequently that it's like almost everytime.

The demand may not be over significant, but there's demand still? I don't ask for FULL DDs once again, but LESSER SDs(MAX. of 3). By subsituting 1-2 SDs with DDs won't kill right?

Currently on 161 fleet, there's like 5-6 SDs on weekends. And a quick count of the loading is at least 40 already.

Furthermore, you talk about comfort. Shouldn't they have replaced some SDs with DDs since s161 gets at least around 40+ demands?

Not all depots can do DD "check-up", which is why they don't deploy more DDs on weekends. But at least for now, they improved quite a few services. And I doubt SMRT earns a lot, given the LRT system + MRT ones.
