You may not know that back in late 2011, the batch of O405s
regoed from 425R to 441T were all re-refurbished after they are
de-registered then subsequently given their 2 years' lifespan
extension till 2013.
But like what carbikebus said, many of the
O405s will deregister in 2015-2016... If SMRT want to keep
registering the the MANs, then cannot extend the Volgren O405s, if
not we will still see them on the roads till 2018-2019... Would
SMRT want O405s till then? Mostly likely not.
