As some of you might already know , I'll be expecting some competition from a friend a mine in wooing a girl we both have known for a couple of years. She's currently taking her O levels this year....

I don't have the power of gold and I believe that she is someone whom is worth wooing....

Since her first paper are exactly a month away , I thought I would do something special for her , at least make my presence known towards her first. I was thinking of buying a simple good luck greeting card for her before she sits for her first paper. However I feel that I'm lacking in ideas to make my presence known to her. Obviously somewhere along the way , I would also be hinting to her that I'm back alive and kicking because she knows that I liked her a couple of years back but the entire thing simply died down naturally as both of us did not want to make the first move....

So any ideas?

I'm a bit lost in your story...so in short, you did somehow managed to let her know that you liked her before. But then....do you really expect her to make the first move? Why didn't you make the first move after that???

Anyway the best thing you could do now is to help her out with her revision for the O'Levels or leave her alone to concentrate on her O'Levels and give her a call after her O'Levels to ask her about her exams and sweet-talk her out.

Well let's just say I was too shy to make the first move at that time and besides even if I had the guts to make the first move , I was busy preparing for my O levels while she was busy preparing for her N levels , so I did not want to go after her at that point in time.

Anyways she's way smarter than me so I don't wish to act professor in front of her...hahahahax

What I would be looking at is doing something before the start of her papers so that at least I can make her acknowledge my presence or better still , my advances....

Best advice to you: Don't go and disturb her while she's preparing for her O'Levels. Cos your attempt to make your presence known to her is going to disturb her preparations for O'Levels and will definitely ruined any possible chances that you might have with her.

A very simple method,

Call her up one day for a very short chat.
Just talk to her a few mins or so.. maybe ask her when she's having her first paper.

Then Wish her luck with a simple sms on that day.
AND NEVER ASK HER HOWS THE PAPER UNLESS SHE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT IT.
TALK ABOUT ANYTHING EXCEPT THE PAPER.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that she is those super friendly and open minded kinda of girls so I guess it might be tough for me to distinguish whether she will treat me as a normal friend or something higher.... Confused

here are advice you should only bring to action AFTER her exams.. if not and they back fire you cannot sue me ok??

1) ask her out, say you wanna celebrate the end of her exams with her.

2) talk over phone (build basic rapport first)

3) buy her something cute

fragile in the sense...cos Os period...the girl tend to be emotionally dependent..looking for someone to depend on in this stressful period...therefore if you ask to go steady with her...chances are it won't last since it might be due to impulse that she agreed...

on the other hand..if you try to keep your distance...she might not think you exist..den other guys might "chen xu er ru - enter during chaos"...den you blow up your chance...

i think...the important thing is that...girls are "feelings" creature...if you give her the emotional dependent that she needs..chances are she will take notice of you...

give her surprises...small presents...try to make her feel SECURE...thats the important thing...let her know that you are always there...yet don't be an ass and keep bugging her all the time...she needs her space...you have all the time in the world after Os...

Haha! I was wooed once by this guy...also during my exams period. He knew I had to miss my favourite programs on t.v because of exams so...

he taped all e programs I missed, & painstakingly "slotted" himself in some of e commercial periods keke....VERY SWEET ~

But her birthday was last month considering the fact that I've already bought her a present and if I buy a present for her now , won't that be a little bit too often?

I mean once in a while is okay but I feel that the period between her birthday and her first paper is a little bit too short
