Italy is in the midst of a mini-crisis after a supporter was
accidentally shot dead by a policeman a little more than a week
ago.
That sparked hooligan violence that has once again tarnished the
image of Italian football, at a time when the country should be
concentrating on celebrating their qualification for the Euro 2008
finals.
"In order to fight against violence we need fewer masters and more
witnesses: many people, including politicians, talk about
miraculous solutions," he told radio station Gr Parliamento.
"We are all experienced enough not to think that the national
team's victory (over Scotland on Saturday) will be enough to solve
our problems."
