Yesterday SBS8899Y on 506 brokedown at the bus stop aft
exiting PIE (twrds jurong east)
Engine cover opened. Time: exactly 1805hrs
I was on this bus. issued bus breakdown ticket
cause of breakdown: Gearbox Jam
what
happened
on the expressway aft tpy exit, the bus suddenly jerk & cant
move even though press accelerator (as though in N gear)
but it was fine again when the bus stopped for a while jn the
middle of expressway before stevens rd exit. then it happened
again when approaching the bukit batok exit.
then BC decided to declare breakdown
KUB gear will rest at 3, not 2...
Then after a "whistle" sound it goes N. When BC press
accelerator it will go to 2 or 3, u can hear the sound like 1 gear
when BC starting to move from 0km/h..
