Was onboard SMB56A (KJ/CCBP 172) today towards Boon
Lay and it declared breakdown at 0914hrs. It was on split
shift but not sure which one.
Bus had no air con, and engine died when stopping at bus stops
44099 (Former Keat Hong Camp) and 44079 (Opp blk 464). At bus stop
30089 (Aft Hai Inn See Tp), after alighting some pax, BC contacted
OCC. This was the conversation:
BC: Hello. My bus air con
not working. And engine keep dying. How?
OCC: What service and what
number?
BC: 56 on 172 towards Boon
Lay
OCC: Where are
you?
BC: Hai
Inn See
OCC: How many pax you have
on board?
BC: (after looking through
the rear mirror) About 40. (Bus was fully seated with pax with no
standee)
OCC: You on split shift or
AM shift?
BC:
Split.
OCC: How many trips
more?
BC: One
trip.
OCC: OK. Alight all pax.
Declare breakdown and let pax board next bus.
So BC drove the bus out of the bus bay and asked us to all
alight. BC cancelled ride, but never issue complimentary
ticket.
All pax boarded TIB716B (sv975) at 0920hrs and TIB714G (sv172
--172AP01) at 0922hrs.
