Mao Mao,
I sympathise with your plight, I really do, since I've come to
treat this bunch of you as friends, irregardless of online or real
life.
In order to be objective, & perhaps to let you have a better
understanding of what your ex is thinking, I'll tell you about my
own personal experience.
There was an ex of mine, who despite assuring me that he was over
me, wrote mushy emails & sent me mushy SMSes. I refused to meet
him because I felt that he was still Not over me, despite what he'd
claimed. The reason I decided Not to, was because I wished to make
it easier for him to get on with life, despite his having
disappointed me utterly. Anyway, he got into a quarrel with me,
saying that I assumed he hadn't gotten over the matter when he
already had (please note: he'd sent me a mushy email ONE day prior
to this blow-up), blah blah blah...
In order to maintain a friendship, both parties have to be given
time to move on... I suspect this may be the reason your ex is Not
meeting you. Either she feels you haven't moved on, or she still
hasn't. So please don't be too disturbed about this.
Of course, with my ex, things didn't end well. When I started
seeing someone else after having moved on, he threw a tantrum,
& we ended up having a big blow-up (so much for his claims that
he'd moved on, yah?).
Perhaps if you could understand why your ex is doing this, you
won't feel so hurt : )
