If I am not wrong earlier on the authorities have plans to develop Simpang (located Northeast of Yishun New Town which is currently a training ground for SAF Artillery formation) into a housing estate but the plans seems to have delayed or scrapped.

Also the stretch of MRT tracks in-between Yishun and Sembawang doesn't passby the proposed Simpang New Town.

There is no plan to develop Simpang as of now. Canberra is going to be developed in a big way. No major developments in Sembawang either. Woodlands South have huge developments coming in future, so also along Woodlands East (ave 10).

Extension of operating hours for Service 63M

Finally something is done to ease 63's load and cope with the horrible waiting time for 63. Becoming a full day service like 143M. Probably gonna use 4-5 buses. I suppose some of the Split shifts doing 63M now would become full day buses on 63.

Agreed. But Singapore tree coverage has increased over last decade. I don't know how Govt manages to do that. At least statistics wise, it is one of the best in the world.

Whether will the buildings will cause Sinkapore we don't know...

But what I do know is more and more kite flying territories are being conquered by these concrete towers...

Go read my post again.. I mentioned to you what would be the best way to go, and the traveling time as well. Please read posts correctly or be more specific.

Hmmm...

If I were you I would've taken the Saikyo Line/Shonan-Shinjuku Line instead... takes 5-6 mins travelling time only. As mentioned before I only consider travelling time. It's also based on the primary principle of less stops is usually equal to faster travelling time.

Hmmm...

Depends which pass you have.. Normally if you live in Tokyo city, you would have the MRT pass and not JR line pass unless you frequent Yamanote line.

I did mention travelling time only didn't I? :P

Sometimes when I have to rush to Shinjuku or Shibuya from Ikebukuro (as in really really rush) I will buy single trip and take the JR.

Especially Shinjuku. It does take 5-10 mins to walk to Shunjuku-Sanchome. Besides the entrance to the walkway is so hidden.
