I need some help.

I want to set up a database connection, then retrieve the number of items I have in the database and store it in a variable Integer so I can display it is a textbox or something.

Okay. Lets say I set up a database connection.

I drag OleDbConnection, set it up.

I drag OleDbAdapter... How should I type the SQL statement for this?

And how should I do the DataGrid and other stuff?

I only want to retrieve the total number of items in the database and display the number only.

I didn't take this module... need it 4 a project...

But erm... I am not using manual...

I am using the Drag and Drops from the VS Studio....

Anyway, I found my solution... all I have to do was xxx.Items.Count... hehe..

Oh ya... another question...

How do I delete the entire database when I click a button....

Lets say I updated the OleDBAdapter with DELETE * FROM Table...

Cos for Select I only need to right click on OleDBAdapter, generate a DataSet then type in the Adapter.Fill thingy... Then it will come out itself...

But for Delete... I dunno wat to do after I update the Adapdater with the SQL statement...

I want the user to click a button then the database delete itselfs...

Oh ya... I am using drag and drop..not manually.. Razz
