ghimpheng SG Ramos in as Jol ends Spurs reign Last Updated: Thu, 25 Oct 2007 22:09 Martin Jol has quit as boss of Tottenham ahead of the 2-1 Uefa Cup defeat to Getafe with Sevilla coach Juande Ramos set to take over. The Dutchman's position at White Hart Lane has come under intense scrutiny this season as poor results have left Spurs languishing in the Premier League's relegation places after amassing a paltry seven points from their opening ten games. Jol was given a vote of confidence recently, but he opted to jump before he could be pushed by handing in his resignation ahead of Thursday evening's Uefa Cup group G opener against Getafe. Chairman Daniel Levy accepted but then allowed Jol to take his place in the dug-out for a final time as his side threw away a one-goal lead and crashed to defeat against the Spanish Primera Liga outfit. Clive Allen is expected to take on the role as caretaker boss for Sunday's game with Blackburn Rovers after which Ramos is tipped to be appointed. It is also claimed former Spurs midfielder and current Leeds United assistant boss Gus Poyet will be approached to be Ramos' number two. drop paul robinson and jenas from the starting line up and put Zokora as first team player and the whole defence and midfield must be reorganise
Trump_Card SG Ramos would be stupid to join Spurs … Sevilla are still in the running for UCL and spurs is in contention for nothing …
