A friend of mine is in trouble. Hope anyone who knows anything with regards to the topic can help me out a bit... Even advices also can... 'Dark', obvious or anything... Just wish to gather more information...

This friend of mine is from Malaysian. She works in Singapore. She mentioned that there were routine 'urine-testing' at the causeway and she had been for some of them...

Recently, the authority has decided to charge her for 'drug-taking' from their 'urine check'. But the somehow funny part is... Why only 3 months after the incident? Though she holds a past record, but she firmly insisted that she no longer take drugs... There wasn't much of any opportunity for appeal, and she suspect it might be a 'set up'.

Any sober and more well-informed being would like to add some 'light' to this?

To add, she also needs quite alot of medications extensively... Would that in anyway much resulted in a wrong analysis?

She explained to the authority and even brought all her medications to them. From what she told me, they said unless there's a cert. from a doctor to prove that the medications could have resulted in a wrong analysis, they can't help her.

den shld ask for her doctor's advise, and lawyer too. i dun think the authority will like to admit dat is their fault.

If she's on meds, she can ask doc for a written prove that the meds might have produce a result.

There's quite a fair bit ot people going through and there might be a backlog. Otherwise, could it be possible that someone stole her identity and took drugs when crossing the checkpoint and she gets the blame? Anything is possible...

That's what I thought too.... And it's sort of like alway a 'standard'...? Unless they took SO LONG to handle the sample...? Which is also QUITE IMPOSSIBLE... The drugs in the urine would have been degraded by then...

There may be a set up.. depends who is in charge of her case. It can just be that they just testing ur water to see if u are up to give them some moolah.. n u may as well wait for official letter that u are summoned. But u should go doctors and get some checkup just to be sure and have the doc examine her. If she is tested positive due to medicinal purposes.. then she should explain to doc what she taking so he can write out a brief description of her situation. But mostly the chemical contents of normal medicine should not produce any illegal drug substances... eg: no panadol has THC *Weed* properties.

Sample can be tested instantanously. They should do it in front of u..or they could just swap ur urine..u never know. Anyways she should have signed the samples and she should know.

Did you know SG has a extraterritorial law that considers drug taking by a Singaporean overseas as an offence and if you are detected on return, they will penalise you as if you have consumed drugs here?

True and surprising.Advice to all you fellows overseas, please do not consume drugs 3 days before you fly back so that there is no visible sign for them to single you out.OR to be safe, avoid taking any drugs that stay in your body or don't even take them at all.

If its for medicinal purposes, get the prescription notarised.
