princessdiana SG I have a feeling that all these cramps, headache and monthly mens really put female as a weaker sex. I can't concentrate during those days and my temper is very bad. What can I do to remove this! I feel lousy being a weaker one than my brothers (who always bully me) when I'm "sick". My mum say that after giving birth the whole "problem" will improve, is it true? Will taking chinese medicine help? My mum ask me to eat.
starblue SG gal, i know exactly how you feel. but there's nothing much you can do cept to grin and bear it. you may wan to live more healthily, a friend told me the weaker your constitution, the more you suffer during your menses... i duno how true but u can try. if not, you can always go to my forum and rant there about the pain and curse the guys if it makes u feel better. the guys wun mind, i'm sure... and i will join in if our ahem clashes. and then after the whole thing is over, you'd be the cheerful you again.
moonstone SG Chinese medcine wouldnt help much. But it may vary. Depening on your problem that caused it to cramp. I am presently consulting a Chinese sinseh & the medicine has help got rid of my pain (private message) me if you want any rec. But any way, you can try eating evening primrose every day. This is VEY useful. The only thing is that you must be consistant. Else the pain will still some back. During the pain, you can try to eat 2 panadols+2 poh chai pills. It is super effective. Remember not exceeding 8 panadols per day. And bear in mind. This remedy only works with 2 pandols AND Poh chai pills. But how ever, do not do this very often. And lastly, I would like to remind you that, menus cramp may also due to a cyst or fybriod grown inside the womb. You got to go check this out with the gynae.
gerrykoh SG Don't self-medicate. See a gynae if the pain persists. U may have fybroids (growth) in your womb.
Devil1976 SG I think I've heard of a more professional treatment for this... Check with KK hospital pls?
thelesis SG What is fybroids , can explain more? When my friend is going to have her period, she will started to feel pain in one week advance. Is it common ?
parn SG To minimise your pain during periods, stay away from cold food/drinks especially. Either consume warm or drinks at room temperature, you should feel much lesser pain when you're having your periods. Trust me, it makes a lot of difference when you stay away from cold drinks/food. Drink more water too. Avoid taking in too much meat and consume more vegetables and fruits in your daily diet. People who consumed more meat usually has a poorer tolerance and is more easily agitated than people who consume more vegetables and fruits. Also take up an activity to relax yourself...be it singing, listening to music, movies, shopping and sleeping. Especially sleeping, make sure you have enough sleep and not less than 8hours everyday...else you'll feel stretched throughout the week when it ends. Try to help yourself first before turning to a physician for help. Don't depend on medicine if you can solve it in a healthier manner. I usually stay away from medicine cos it usually works on me for a few times before my body get used to the medicine and it doesn't works on me anymore...not to mention any potential side-effects that we may suffer in the future. Ignore your brothers if you can...siblings are sometimes childish and wussy, cos they only dare to bully families and not those people on the streets. Eat healthier and consume more plain water and take enough rest everyday. You should be feeling better in no time, try to pick up a hobby that doesn't requires any committment. Good luck.
Kenneth Tan Jian Wei SG I heard of a procedure called Pregnancy that can curb these symptoms. But it's not a long-term solution, and must be re-applied every 9 months. Side effects include the production of a scion.
moonstone SG its true that after giveing birth the pain will go away. And it means FOREVER. ok Kenneth
viciouskitty74 SG Try taking evening primrose oil regularly. take the capsules dosages as per instructed.
Apollo_sg SG u r gg thru a psychological change of pre natal syndrome. best u talk to ur gynae and hopefully he can arrange a shrink to see u. remember, this could be both physical n mental problem. mental problem does not mean u r mad. it merely means u hv a depression like problem tat needs to b corrected. n dun worry, such depression can b cured.
