Don't you mean "just one week after A and B became a couple"? I thought they were already
friends for quite some time.
I don't think it is cheating. One week as a couple sounds trivial,
how much feelings could have been pumped in that one week?
In my opinion, B was probably just testing the waters by sampling
A. She probably didn't like the test results, and decided to go
back to her ex-boyfriend. However, she was reluctant to lose a good
"guy friend" in A, so she wrote him a rain check to keep him
around, in case of emergencies.
