Aesthetic plastic surgery is available at hospitals like SGH,
NUH and MEH, but the local practice in the facial area is not as
renowned as those in Thailand or Korea and may require revisions.
Somehow, local surgeons seem to be more successful in
reconstructive surgery (burns, congenital abnormalities, etc.) than
in enhancement surgery. If you have loads of cash to burn, ask
around for references in Korea -- the surgeons there are more
reputable and some travel agencies do offer such surgery-holiday
packages.
Cost varies according to location and reputation of clinic, and
complexity of surgery. A typical single-operation (eg. facelift,
eyelid, or nose) holiday package abroad is at least $6,000 and
could go up to $15,000.
A word of caution: The success rate of such surgeries is never
100%, and satisfaction level of results may also vary. If you are
too demanding on your own natural looks, you may never be satisfied
with the changes and may require additional revision surgeries.
