I grew up in an era that has bought the feminist lie that men and women are identical.. In our culture, women are encouraged to do everything men do, and vice versa.. I believe in equal opportunity but I mistook "equal" with "identical", and this retarded my personal development by 30 years.. I doubt if I am alone..

Femininity is defined by "loving relationships" Feminine psychology is founded on nurturing and loving husbands and children, and thereby being needed and loved.. Women are the engines of love, acting much like the heart in the body.. They create the family that is the fundamental building block of society and the foundry of the future..

But, singaporean females refuse to acknowledge the fact that THEY are the ones who've become unattractive & unfeminine to local men..

So what does today's singaporean woman bring to the marriage table? So she has her own career, her own car, her own business.. So what? A man also has his own career, his own car, his own business.. So where's the difference.. For a man, it's just like marrying another man..

Nature had intended men to be masculine & women to be feminine.. That's why there's a ying & a yang.. Opposites attract & complement each other.. If a woman has qualities that are the same as a man, where's the attraction? It's just like being with another man...

I believe THAT'S the real reason why singaporean Men are marrying foreign women.. It's because these women haven't forgotten how to be feminine unlike their counter-parts in singapore...

People look for an easier way out because they have no confidence in themselves. Local men (LM) think that they are unworthy of local girls (LG). However, LM tried to mask their insecurity by portraying LG as unreasonable lots, who are asking for the sky. LM's ego stopped them from admitting their flaws.

Btw, I'm a guy Laughing and I think LGs are great. They know how to doll up (some of them) and look pretty.

You have to remember the class and age group of Singaporean men that go overseas to look for a wife. They are mostly low class wage earners in their 40's to 50's earning less than 1.8k a month. They just dunch have the time and money to court a singaporean girl of child bearing age that is late 20's to 30s. Hence, the demand for cheap overseas wivies from vietnam or indonesia!

To me, as a classical economist, I say go ahead! Heck, it means more babies for Singapore! Mr. Green

It is a problem which is common in ANY developed country, not only Singapore!

What I can say is that, put a young Vietnamese girl in Singapore. Give her equal opportunities that SG girls have. She will turn out like the SG girls you keep complaining about.

If you are so unhappy about SG girls, just go marry a China/Vietnam or whatever girl that makes you feel better.

It is not about the nationality or race, but how you adapt to survive and succeed in your environment.

As for some Sg guys, with their education and success, I do not understand why they want a 'little' woman. I believe that in a relationship, responsibilities has to be shared. Won't you want someone who can help you with your decision making instead of pushing everything to you? Might as well as a robot who serves you hand and foot.

Also, there are expectations from the environment. If you compare the standard of living in Singapore and other neighbouring countries there will be certain set expectations. For a girl who grew up having to work from dawn till dusk and sleeping on the floor. A HDB flat with a bed is a very comfortable life just looking after the house. If you want a SG girl to downgrade from what she has with her parents, that will be a little more difficult unless she is so much in love that she is willing to sacrifice all. I mean let's face it. That's the facts of life.

The thing is that, the media keeps highlighting the plight of blue collar workers and comparing it with the educated females. Of course there will not be a match! I mean hello~ ANY logical person will know where the problem lies.

Before I start typing anything, I have to clarify I am a guy, not girl.

So, I am not siding guys, nor girls.

Local girls are GREAT! Those guys who seek for Vietnam/China girls to be their wife are just bunch of typical losers. Why say so? They want a pet more than a companion.

Well, if you love someone, what you expect from her? Listen to your orders? To be feminine? You are the big man, and she is the little woman? Guys with this thought are sick and they sucks, no wonder local girl dont want them, local girls are just too smart for the losers.

Our local girls are best, they are independent, and they can cope with their life very well. I just love locals.

Think again, loser, you married a Vietnam girl, it's even hard for you to communicate with her, don't even mention about understand you. They will depend on you totally, if one day, you are not able to take care of her, so how does she survive? I rather married a local who understand me, at least what I talk, she understand, and what she talk I understand, plus we has same culture.

Losers are selfish. But loser, as long as you can afford, there are still lots of stock for you to choose, you want a pet, a virgin, be whatever, you can just buy one, and put it at your home. You just need to feed her, buy her some cheap clothes, and that's.

A local girl will be able to contribute to the family income cos she is educated. When U marry a uneducated foreign wife, u will be the sole breadwinner.
What happens when u get retrenched?
My advise to the local guys is to upgrade so they don't draw low pay.
No parents will want their daughters to suffer after marriage.
