I would say it's too early to write off Pool. Even based on what
you said, I feel Liverpool has enough to win the league. Man for
man, I don't feel Liverpool loses out to Man U. Perhaps, in central
defence, they lack a Vidic or a Terry. But Carragher is a good
defender in his own merit and so is Hypia.
Liverpool's former captain lacks pace but I think as a defender,
experience and age may be even more of an asset. Still, perhaps
Liverpool should at least have some capable cover. Carragher made
some mistakes during the time he was just coming back from
injury.
