A few months back I received a note from my colleague. On the note is a phone no. My colleague said that someone is interested in me. I said that i was flattered that she pick me but I'm not interested.

My colleague feedback that she just wants to be frens. Later i found out that she is working in the same department as me.

Actually I like making new frens...........I don't understand why she couldn't just come and talk to me.......be frens first.....then see where it goes. Now that i know she likes me, i feel a bit weird talking to her.

Can an admirer be just frens?

Of course she can be just friends, since you probably don't find her attractive enough at first glance to even think about the next step.

Give her and give yourself a chance to know each other better. Perhaps she may have hidden qualities that might attract you to be a partner later.

If you decide, however that you do not want to waste the poor girl's time waiting for you, better break it gently to her. It is never easy for a guy to reject a girl (unless he's an unmitigated jerk), but do it gently and sincerely. Even if you still end up hurting her initially, it is better for her in the long run.

Ok, I know the drill. She is gorgeous, just "not your type", right? Smile

A girl wouldn't be interested in a guy if she thought he was a loser. Perhaps it was your humility, among other things, that attracted her.

If you find the character of girls more attractive, but are not attracted to this girl, does this mean...? Why not give people a chance to know them better first?

Dear Young Stallion,

Of cosh admirers can still be frens, I've had a few (Not tt ben3 xiao3 jie3 v. desirable, but ev. girl will haf some), & they've stayed my frens to this day. It's how u handle it : ) Not ev. body will take well to rejection tho, so if u lose a fren due to ur having to reject them, dun take it too hard : )

Yes. Admirer can be just friends. Often depending on the mentality of the individual.

Why not just get to know each other and see how things go from there...? Wink
